At LMMS, our singers have extra opportunities to sing different repertoire and sing with friends. Each ensemble is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. These rehearsals and performances are an excellent opportunity for the torch to be passed to the next class of singers. These ensembles are optional, but many of our singers choose to participate in these ensembles. These ensembles also receive extra awards for devoting their time with field trips in the fall and spring.

 

The time commitment is very light. There is one full rehearsal and one sectional rehearsal every week. Our singers attend a full rehearsal every week, and a sectional rehearsal every other week. So, three rehearsals every two weeks. In any given month, students will have 6 to 8 rehearsals. Students are allowed to miss up to two rehearsals per month.
